Candle Care & Safety Tips

PureScentiment candles are made with 100% natural soy wax and fine fragrance oils. The melted wax can be used as a body moisturiser as soy wax contains skin nourishing vitamin E. Our candles burn slowly and evenly giving you hours of subtle fragrance. Our candles are naturally biodegradable, since they are made from soy beans.

• When you light your candle for the first time, always allow the wax to burn so that it melts across the entire surface and pools to the edges of the jar (approximately 4 hours). This will prevent tunnelling and help promote an even burn. Do not burn for longer than 4 hours at a time.
• Thereafter, burn for at least 2 hours each time to ensure the oils burn evenly and the scent diffuses beautifully.
• Trim wick to 0.5cm each time you light your candle. This will ensure that the candle burns evenly and will also optimise burn time.
• Discontinue use when 0.5cm wax remains in the jar. Soy washes away with warm soapy water, making it easy to repurpose your jar.
• Always burn your candle within sight and keep out of reach of children and pets. Keep away from draughts and burn on a heat resistant surface.
• Do not move the candle while lit or until wax hardens.
